We woke at about 7am and headed down for a buffet breakfast which had a large selection of traditional Cambodian food. After breakfast we met in the lobby at 8:30am and headed into our busses on the way to the next temple.
We headed to the temple complex Angkor Wat where we climbed the towers which reached 65 meters from ground level. The exterior wall measured 1200 by 1500 meters. The temple consists of 2000 Cambodian carvings on the walls through out the temple. The detail in the carvings and stone work were extremely amazing. Half way through the temple we walked up a steep flight of stairs with reached the apex of the temple reveling the enormous size of the complex.
We hopped onto the bus and headed to a late lunch where we split up into groups of around four. We then set off to find a restraint of our choosing before meeting back at the Blue Pumpkin to set off for the hotel for a relaxing afternoon.
Once we reached the hotel for a swim, relax, massage and a dash to the shops. After devotions at 6pm we hoped onto the bus down to the restaurants were we enjoyed a delicious Cambodian dinner. After dinner we walked through the night markets to get ourselves a bargain. We headed back to the hotel for a well deserved sleep.

Is that a large tank of water across the road from the restaurant? Tell Mark P I love the hat! Why does my husband look half dead? Go Hargrave!
ReplyDeleteTank is the fish massages - they eat the dead skin off your feet! Gross!
ReplyDeleteMich is taking a well earned breather. Nothing lots of ice-cream won't fix. They make the most awesome ice cream and sorbets here!
