Hey guys,
Having such an amazing time! Cambodia has been incredible so far… AND IT’S ONLY JUST THE BEGINNING!!
DAY ONE
The 9 hour flight up to Singapore was loooooong and boring. When we arrived at Singapore airport, the humidity was unbelievable, so different from the winter that we left behind…. J
We then boarded our next flight and two hours later found ourselves in CAMBODIA!
WE caught a bus to our hotel, settled into our rooms and went out to dinner to a restaurant called Koh Ling Chow. The food was amazing, and the people were so lovely and always smiling.

We then had a ten minute walk back to the hotel, the nightlife was astounding. We went back to our hotel rooms. Overall, day one was a massive success.
DAY TWO
We had a buffet breakfast in the hotel and then set off on our twenty minute bus ride to Bayon Temple. When we arrived at the temple, those of us who forgot hats bartered (haggled) with locals for some quality headwear. We then were given the opportunity to ride an ELEPHANT! :O All of us gladly bought our 15 dollar tickets along with a few bananas to feed Bella the Elephant. The ride was a loop of the Temple, and took approximately 10 minutes. It was a memorable experience. We then explored and soaked in the history of the temple, weaving our way through the Bayon Temple. After the Bayon temple, we boarded our busses, and traveled for a QUICK tour of Preah Kahn Temple. The heat caught most of us off guard and by lunch time we were definitely ready leave the temples and hit the pool.
When we stopped for a toilet break, there was a set of markets. We were swamped by beggers selling all sorts of knick-knacks.
After some lunch at local café called ‘Sing Fow Lau’, we had a quick swim in the pool and were ready to attend a craft workshop. The workshop gave us gave great insight into the lives of local craftsmen. After this eye-opening experience, we went to the Street markets of Siem Reap. This gave all of us the long awaited opportunity to go SHOPPING! We had a ball, bartering and picking up some great bargains from many different stalls.
We then caught a local form of transport, known as a Tuk-Tuk back to our hotel. Dinner that night was at a restraunt with dancers. The performance was astounding. We have just arrived back from the restraunt and had a late night swim. Will keep you updated…
